HOSOO Textile is installed in the interior of the “LS,” the flagship sedan of LEXUS, which has been sold in more than 90 countries/regions for over 30 years since its launch.

The design of the textile that symbolically adorns the door trim of the LS is based on the motif of a beautiful scene called “Moon Road,” expressing the waves illuminated by moonlight. It took about four years to develop this special product to meet the functional requirements for vehicle interiors while retaining the beauty of Nishijin textiles, which have a historical background of pursuing beauty for 1,200 years.

The textile, which combines beauty and functionality, manipulates light to create a rich expression with the slightest change in light, expressing the dignity and Japanese sense of beauty befitting a flagship sedan and creating a rich space that fills the driver's heart every time in the car.
