AUXCA., the flagship store of the 75-year-old Japanese tailor Tailor & Cloths, opened in 2022.
The interior of the store is decorated with HOSOO’s textiles, which were bespoke creations based on the motif of the Mitobira, a door that was moved from the Imperial Palace in Kyoto to the Kondo Hall of Ninna-ji Temple in the Edo period, as a symbol of a space that transcends time and space.
The space was designed by Time & Style based on the concept of reinterpreting traditional Japanese techniques in a modern way.
